Our licensed clinical social workers maintain a close watch to identify any potential social or emotional problems that can hinder the patient’s recovery and ensure that his or her physical and emotional needs for recovery are being met. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS

The goal of our occupational therapists is to help patients regain and improve upon skills that you perform on a daily basis. In most cases these are skills not related to your occupation at all. They can include but are not limited to bathing, eating, grooming, dressing and other tasks that require fine motor skills. After a thorough evaluation we will create a personalized treatment plan and schedule to help you regain your independence and confidence.

SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS

When an injury or illness impairs speech, swallowing, cognition and communication it is the job of a speech-language pathologist to carefully evaluate the patient to help formulate an individualized treatment plan. These plans typically include ways to use their voice for communication, develop alternative communication methods, improve reading and writing and strengthen the muscles used for swallowing. An important aspect includes the education of the primary caregiver. When a loved one loses the ability to effectively communicate their wants or needs it can create an incredible amount of stress. Our compassionate speech therapists can help to assist them better understand the situation and improve their own communication skills with the patient.
